CDS MEDICAL As the practice of medicine has changed over the past few years, the need for consultants and career advisors has also changed. While affiliated with a large physician recruiting firm, I had the opportunity to observe these changes as they were taking place. Although medical practices were changing dramatically with the increase of managed care, the large consulting firms were slow to make changes that would keep them on the “cutting edge” of the industry. With these changes in mind, CDS Medical was founded in 1996 -- to better serve both candidates’ and clients’ needs. CDS Medical will: Represent all viable practice opportunities, fairly, regardless of the fee structure. Present all pertinent facts to each interested candidate. Represent each client on an equal basis in accordance to the signed agreement. CDS Medical will service all market areas and work with each client on a case-by-case basis. YOUR CONSULTANT After completing his studies at Southern Illinois University, Carl Sivia began his career in business. For the next eighteen years, he developed an expertise in all areas of finance, including consumer, commercial and retail banking. He also directed activities in marketing and medical equipment leasing. In 1988, Carl accepted a new challenge to develop an otolaryngology division with a large physician recruiting firm. For the next eight years, he worked exclusively for this firm and helped it develop a strong ENT division. During this time, Carl helped more ENTs find new practice opportunities than any other individual in the United States. Carl attended every AAO-HNS Academy meeting during this time and developed a nationwide network of ENTs. Carl’s knowledge of the ENT marketplace nationwide has no equal. In 1996, Carl formed his own organization. CDS Medical works exclusively in the field of otolaryngology. Carl continues to represent former clients and now has the additional opportunity to serve clients who did not previously meet large firm’s criteria. Carl is committed to helping every ENT (client or candidate) who needs his service. |
